“Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value” Albert Einstein
We live in a world which has a population of 7.6 billion. Now from these 7.6 billion what makes you noticeable? What makes you outstanding? What is the purpose of our life?
Is survival the only purpose of life? If survival was the sole purpose of life, why would nature evolve intelligent life forms? Well, each one has a different opinions, perspectives. According to some life has no particular purpose, while for some it is just a cycle of nature – living and dying so on.
Almost more than 90% people dream of making it big. Owning branded cars, luxurious bungalows, being a rich personality, living a lavish lifestyle and so on. As mentioned before they just dream of making it big. But as we all know many of us have that X factor, ‘laziness’ we tend to postpone work onto tomorrow, then that tomorrow turns into day after and it goes on. These kinda people somehow loose hope and get back to their daily chores.
Let me tell you one thing, the same old ways won’t open new doors for these kinda people. EAT-WORK-SLEEP-REPEAT is the only aim in life, they live life to survive. We may call them ‘The life of survival’ class.
Then come in the ‘successful’ people of our society. We all are constantly been told and yes I am too a firm believer that there is no better way to succeed than to follow the footsteps of those who have already done so. A highly paid middle aged, graduate official who owns a house, has his own car, bike which might have been bought on loan and repaying installment till retirement.
Basically a person whose doing a job for say 20-30 years of his life, follows the same old routine which pays him a good sum of say 50-60k per month. Our society sees these people as successful. Why?
Simple, he owns a house/flat, a car, bike and yes ofcourse takes his family for trips, tours basically he is selling his time to earn that salary. In this, now he reaches somewhere between the age group of 45-60.
So! Is this the life you want?
We dream, we dare to turn our dreams into reality. A car, a bike, a house these are our basic needs, we can’t call them dreams!
From not having any particular purpose in life to it being a cycle of nature (live-die) There is an IN between! It is that intense burn of passion, the burning desire, the force that drives most people to reach their potential. Challenge yourself to move forward, define goals and don’t be afraid to dream so big that it scares you. What if you have achieved all your needs, say a house, a car, bike and whatever else you needed. What will be the next thing you’ll do? Whatever be your answer, but remember ‘Relationships and interaction are the most valuable in the world. The internal growth that can occur from a single conversation or a lifetime of memories shared with another person can’t be matched with monetary gains. A living where you have all your needs, dreams achieved at an early age having satisfied all, and now working on the path of significance, leaving behind good mark to the society, praises for your work even in your absence. Isn’t it the kinda life you would like to live? Ask yourself.
